Honey Dijon Bio
A world-renowned DJ, producer, and electronic music artist, Honey Dijon’s dynamic DJ sets, remixes, and original tracks celebrate joy and personal discovery. In addition to putting her own spin on remixes of classic disco and techno favorites, Dijon’s original work appears on albums like her 2017 debut, The Best of Both Worlds, and her 2022 sophomore album, Black Girl Magic.
Honey Dijon grew up in Chicago as part of a highly musical family. She began DJing in the ’90s, receiving guidance from Chicago house DJs like Derrick Carter and Mark Farina. She relocated to New York, eventually splitting her time between there and Berlin as her euphoric house-informed DJ performances attracted more and more listeners.
Dijon’s first album, The Best of Both Worlds, came in 2017 and was an immersive and mysterious exposition into rhythm that featured guest appearances from Cakes da Killa, Nomi Ruiz, and many others. 2022’s Black Girl Magic was much the same, with guest spots from Sadie Walker, Eve, Dope Earth Alien, and a host of other talented friends accenting Dijon’s hypnotic and intertwining grooves.
